We are actively seeking committed, enthusiastic and knowledgeable coaches to work with our travel teams. Our travel coaches are expected to be able to teach fundamental skills to the children while emphasizing development, teamwork, and fun. We expect our coaches to hold practice sessions 2x a week, and accompany their team to league matches every weekend while following our curriculum and focusing on the holistic development of each individual player within their team.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Playing and coaching experience
  • Experience working with children
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children and parents
  • Enjoy working with children
  • Care about the holistic development of all players within the developmental program
  • Patient and caring manner

Responsibilities:

  • The coach is responsible for player passes, team rosters, medical forms, and traveling papers. We expect coaches to hold practice 2x a week, and accompany their team to league matches on most weekends.
  • Provide a Safe Learning Environment: The coach is responsible for creating a safe and encouraging learning environment for our players.
  • Determine Playing time: Playing time is determined by skills, attendance at practices, attitude, and behavior during practice, and is at the final discretion of the coach. Please talk with your coach if you have concerns.
  • Provide a structured environment: A coach may dismiss players from his team for unsportsmanlike conduct or disciplinary reasons, after first orally warning the player and her parents of possible dismissal, and informing and discussing the situation with Travel Program Director.
  • Work with Team Manager and Travel Program Director to choose Tournaments for the team.
  • He is expected to behave in an exemplary, sportsmanlike manner at all times. A coach may be dismissed, in accordance with the bylaws, for unsportsmanlike conduct.
  • Each coach is also expected to maintain or increase his soccer knowledge and coaching skills by attending workshops or clinics, obtaining progressively higher coaching license levels, and/or playing the game. Coaches of competitive-level teams are expected to hold an appropriate level of coaching license.
  • Each coach is responsible for recruiting parents to be assistant referees. During practices, games, and tournaments, coaches are also responsible for assisting in supervising players during this timeframe to make sure players represent our club appropriately.

 

Job Type:  Part-time

Pay: $1000/month per team.
